Kids Box Set – Success at School
Even our little ones need the tools to understand how to navigate through their emotions and mental wellness. Arian shares two of his favourite cards from the Getting To Happy Kids box set as he goes back to school.
- It’s okay not to be okay
You might feel fear on starting something new, but remember that everyone around you might be feeling the same too. It’s not weird that you’re feeling this way especially after coming back from a big or long break like the school holidays. Acknowledging these feelings are important, but we can choose to see the good things in life after too.
Learn to be kind to yourself, especially when you think you’re having a bad day! - A minute of silence
If you’re still feeling overwhelmed, this is something that you can do. You might find it hard to switch off the endless chatter in your mind but we have a tip for you. Set aside some time to sit own and do breathing exercises. More than just inhaling and exhaling, find a comfortable space to sit and close your eyes. As you breathe in and out, only focus on bringing the air in and out of your lungs and try to not get distracted by other things. It might help doing it with someone and see how long you can both do it for!
