Shireena Shroff Manchharam is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Sheens Consulting and specializes in individual one-on-one coaching and group training workshops. She is a certified Image Consultant, who trained under the Academy of Image Mastery and the London Image Institute. Shireena is also licensed by Neuroleadership Institute as a certified Life Coach. She is certified in the Science of Well-being and has a certification in Positive Psychology Coaching and Mentoring from Aventis Learning Group. She is also certified by Mental Health First Aid International® as a Mental Health First Aid Responder. Shireena is a member of International Coaching Federation, Singapore Chapter.
Shireena is also the Founder and Creator of Getting to Happy™ a mental health movement to inspire our community and society to live happier, more mindful lives. Getting to Happy™ provides training of science-based ways to increase well-being and has worked with numerous schools, individuals and corporates in Singapore. Shireena advocates; happiness is within your control and has a desire to change the lives of young people. As a mother of two, she also specializes in Corporate Maternity Coaching to women after they give birth, managing their transition back to the workplace.
Shireena is a mentor at the Halogen Foundation; a non-profit institution of a Public Charter charity in Singapore where she provides mentorship to students as well as conducts group trainings at local educational institutions. Shireena also serves as a member of MDIS School of Fashion & Design Industrial Advisory Board.
This dynamic and entrepreneurial woman has lived and worked in many countries and has a truly global perspective on the diversity of people. She lived in various cities from her childhood in Kobe, and New Delhi, to studying in Ottawa and Madrid, and working in Hong Kong and has now made Singapore her home.
Shireena has a Bachelor of International Business with a Minor in Spanish and Concentration in International Trade & Marketing from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada and from La Universidad Antonio de Nebrija in Madrid, Spain. Shireena started her career at Transearch International, an executive search firm in New Delhi, then moved to Hudson, a global recruitment firm in Singapore, focusing on the banking sector. After working in recruitment, Shireena combined her people skills and passion for helping people reach their goals and started Sheens Consulting in 2008. In 2012, Shireena also started a boutique handbag label, House of Sheens which had a retail outlet in Singapore and worked closely with fashion schools to provide mentorship and opportunities for design and internships.
As a woman of colour with a diverse background, passion for coaching and inspiring others, and desire to improve mental health, Shireena is vocal in sharing her view and the plight of others. She is a contributing columnist for Tatler Singapore and Her World Magazine focusing on mental well-being and happiness. She has contributed articles for publications such as the South China Morning Post and Tabla; a supplementary newspaper of Singapore Press Holdings, as well as appearing on channels such as Bloomberg, The Business Times, The Straits Times, and radio and podcasts run by One FM Radio, Money FM Radio, Young Women’s Leadership Connection and Honeycombers Kids Asia. She has worked with reputed educational institutions around the world from the London Business School to the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the National University in Singapore. Many of her clients include financial institutions such as OCBC Bank, BNP Paribas, Royal Bank of Scotland as well as companies like Dyson and Chope.
